I can't stop thinking about Dad Jayce
(Modern-AU sort of)Jayce Talis x Fem!Reader TW: Pregnancy-mention
A/N: I've held this in for 4 days now I need to get it out. He'd be such a fantastic dad omfg, I'm giving him at least 10. This is gonna be kinda quick and not really proofread sorry y'all.) Divider Link
Jayce is already a pretty touchy guy while you're dating but imagine what a monster he turns into when you guys get married. He acts so sickly sweet with you every moment you're together. He likes to jokingly treat you like royalty, doing a slight bow when you enter a room.
The theatrics get worse when he finds out you're expecting, he won't you do anything till you tell him off. You get up in the morning? He's bringing you breakfast. You just wanna walk around the house, he'll carry you around instead. You're not moving around without him he just acts like a lunatic about it. This is your pregnancy it's OUR pregnancy. If you have nausea, it's OUR nausea. If you're feet hurt, OUR feet hurt, he stops what he's doing to rub your feet and ankles.
Now when the delivery date comes you're relatively calm about it but Jayce is actively losing his mind. Along the course of your pregnancy he has created a very detailed plan on how everything will go. In that moment thought he's floundering, he forgets all the steps and counter measures. He eventually abandons the plan and calls his mom to coach him through everything.
Once the hard part is over it's relatively smooth sailing from there. Jayce ends up completely whipped, regardless of the child's sex he's locked in. Whatever they want he'll get it for them. It makes him so emotional seeing them get older and they start looking more like you. Even though they are a new person he still loves them because they're a piece of you.
Jayce prefers the baby be in your shared bedroom just to keep a closer eye on them, 9/10 he's the one to put them back to sleep when they get fussy at night. During the day he'll always have them in his arms, talking to them about his job or some article he read the other day. He loves just talking to the baby, he likes the baby talk but seeing him have a full on conversation with the baby is hilarious.
He loves showing off the baby to his friends and literally anybody who gives him the time of day. He's got a bunch of pics of you and the baby in his wallet. Sometimes he'll just do it completely unprompted, "Viktor check out this new onesie I got for my son/daughter." He'll post pics in the groupchat with Caitlyn and Vi, he'll send them at least 5 every day.
The child does end up becoming a tiny bit spoiled, Jayce can be firm but the sight of one tear will make him fold. Over the years he gets better at it but when they hit him with the "I hate you daddy!" He gets so depressed he'll sit in his room like this:
Fortunately being the good parents you are, they don't get super bratty very often and are pretty chill. They inherited that go getter attitude from Jayce and it's interesting for him seeing that reflected back at him.

Theo is Liam's anchor, okay? It's basically canon, right? But can we talk about how absurd the reason is?
I mean what happens is literally this: Theo, after basing his entire life plan on triggering Liam's rage, comes back from hell, looks at Liam, looks at his IED, looks at the pack having trouble controlling him and is like "well maybe continuing to push violence on a kid who's been abused his whole life isn't the way to control his violence" and surprise, surprise, HE'S RIGHT.
Like, that's pretty much Liam's story.
1. We don't know much about his childhood but it's likely that he was abused by his biological father (seriously how often do we see Liam interact peacefully with a grown man? Maybe Coach and partly David but nothing more).
2. There are several things that suggest that Liam has always had social/relationship issues: it is clear that he had behavioral issues well before the diagnosis (the fight with Hayden) and that he was often excluded (his only friend is Mason) and maybe even bullied (his comfort zone is literally a team sport made to vent aggression in a healthy way and at the same time bond with other people).
3. Brett. Briam or not, whatever happened between them is as toxic as Chernobyl: can we talk about how tragic the zoo scene is? It is literally physical, psychological and emotional violence all together in the only space that Liam considered safe, which was lacrosse.
4. The management of his IED. This is probably a detail but I have always found the risperidone thing absurd because usually this kind of disorder is treated with a lot of psychotherapy (especially in young subjects) and drugs are a kind of safety/stabilization net. From the way it is told in the series instead it seems that Liam went to a psychiatrist who gave him a sheet with a diagnosis and a blister of pills and Liam spent weeks (the time of transfer from one school to another) like a zombie. They really literally inactivated him as if he were a bomb.
5. Liam's transformation was perhaps one of the most traumatic (of those we see). When he tells David that it was his fault that Scott broke his ankle? The scene on the roof? When they trick him into going to the "party" at the lake house? When he says that his parents will see him as a monster? When Mason tells him that he is ignoring him and Liam can't tell him why? It is so heartbreaking that I could cry.
6. After the transformation Liam doesn't have a second to rest or understand what he has become and how to deal with it: first he literally develops a form of PTSD because of the Berserkers with nightmares and hallucinations (AT 14 YEARS OLD) then he is put on a list where his death is worth 8 million dollars (the printer scene is horrifying) and finally he is thrown into a well by one of his teammates (another crack in his "safe place") with the knowledge that he has a wound that will kill him. ALL THIS WITHOUT HE BEING ABLE TO TALK ABOUT IT TO ANYONE BECAUSE MASON DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING.
7. Theo (and yes, unfortunately we can't rule it out). Theo turns Liam into the monster he's afraid of being, literally, and if Liam doesn't kill Scott it's just for a series of completely random circumstances. And obviously the consequences of this are devastating both for the treatment he receives from others (justifiable of course) and for his own mind which obviously doesn't help him process what happened.
8. In all of this what everyone does to block his fits of rage is using further violence (which could be linked to having actually suffered physical abuse). Scott and Stiles push him into the shower multiple times (and we clearly see him hit his head), Derek picks him up by the neck in the locker room, Brett tackles him on the field, Theo knocks him out at the zoo (5 times), etc...
Liam has lived in a spiral of endless violence practically his entire life and Theo after TWO times of seeing him have one of his outbursts (the Brett shirt scene and the scene with Nolan at the zoo) understands that violence does not calm him down or help him but is only a temporary defuse that actually adds to the spiral. Theo watches Liam TWICE have a tantrum and then manages to calm him down only by talking to him about how to cover up a murder.
Theo literally knows nothing about the world except death and fear and violence and yet he goes to Liam and manages to give him an ALTERNATIVE. Theo goes to Liam and is like "just because violence is what you're used to doesn't mean it's your only option". Theo is the only one who somehow manages to find a flaw in Liam's system that pulls him out of that spiral of violence instead of pushing him into it. Theo who is literally the apotheosis of violence in all its forms is the only one who manages to treat Liam with kindness.
Theo is the only one who can always treat Liam as if he were someone fragile instead of something unstable.

going back to the big question on ch65—when shima is disappointed that what mitsumi likes about him is his "kind façade"—i find it such an interesting problem.
shima HAS put on the kind facade to get mitsumi to like him. but the thing is—that's just what you do when you have a crush !! you do nice things for that person to get them to like you !
shima seems completely incapable of differentiating when he's putting on a front, and when he's being genuinely kind. he picked up the people-pleasing habit as a child, and now he doesn't know when he does it as a reflex and when he genuinely wants to be nice to someone. he doesn't understand how his kindness towards mitsumi is any different.
what he doesn't realize though, is that he's been genuinely kind to her since the beginning.
accompanying her to the student council even if he wasn't going to join himself
going to starmax with her because she said she'd always wanted to go, and helping her to become friends with makoto.
taking her goals seriously and promising to support each other with their future aspirations (my fave scene forever and ever)
going to the zoo together and hoping she'll come to love tokyo !
and he's not only been kind to mitsumi, but to mika too. noticing when she was feeling insecure and acknowledging her great style. telling her to aim for top during the volleyball tournament, and in the process reassuring her that she doesn't need to hold back her ambitions or her strong character to be likeable. and many more—to many people around him.
at some point in the upcoming chapters, shima is gonna have to realize that "being kind to someone so they'll be kind back" isn't emotional manipulation—it's just what getting to know someone is like. plain and simple. he isn't sick n twisted and tricking his friends into liking him, they just happen to like him.
the fake kindness was a problem in the begging, when he genuinely used it as a facade and didn't express any of his actual feelings. or with many of his classmates, that—like I've talked about before—see him as a status symbol rather than a person. but with mitsumi and his friends, he's kind to them and they're kind right back.
shima's problem with his own kindness doesn't really stop there, though. the actual underlying problem is the sentiment that he isn't a good person. he sees himself as a manipulative monster (re: self-identification with frankestein's monster), so no affection coming from him could ever be well meaning.
however, if he stopped for a second he'd realize that his wishes to become a better person—"i want to be as emotionally brave as mitsumi", "i want be confident in my kindness", and "i want to encourage others more"—have more to so with....self-confidence than anything else (i say at the risk of sounding like a scamming life coach). he ought to accept he is good, too. not he "could be good", he is good. already.
and if skip and loafer is good at something, it's at making its characters change their perspectives on others. like in the first chapters makoto stopped thinking of yuzu as too popular to understand her, mika stopped feeling so jelous of the other girls or looking down at mitsumi, and shima stopped thinking of mitsumi as naive—or how ujie has recently stopped viewing shima as shallow—skip and loafer tells us new poeple are usually not as antagonistic as we initially think. maybe shima will apply that sentiment to himself soon. after all, when mitsumi says she's been saved by his kindness, it's because she has her reasons.

in a world of boys, he's a gentleman || Park Chan-Young x f!Reader
summary: Yeong-Su breaks a window at the stadium, and Chan-Young takes the blame for it, resulting in severe consequences. Fortunately, you're here to pick up the pieces afterwards.
word count: 3.1k
warnings & tags: spoilers for season 2 of sweet home, violence, injuries, soldiers being assholes, coarse language, making out, the pronoun "she" is used in reference to the reader
A/N: couldn't find gifs for chan-young so I made this one, but I'm by no means a gif maker, so, yeah. Also, I don't know anything about baseball, so please pretend this makes sense if you know better. I'm not sure which team Chan-Young was supposed to be on, so I picked the Doosan Bears because Sweet Home takes place in Seoul. Finally, it's my first time writing for him, so I hope you'll enjoy my take on this character!
It’s another day at the stadium, which means it’s another day of boredom.
Oh, there are things to do around here, sure. If you don’t mind being ordered around by soldiers who stand behind you with a scowl on their face and remind you that the only reason you’re even there is because of their good will, you’ll find a job to do. Cleaning a corner of the stadium, probably, in hopes that someone will be able to live there — as if there were enough mattresses — or doing the inventory, again, while looking the other way when rations mysteriously go missing and everyone knows who’s doing the taking.
Thing is, you’ve never been one to grovel. In fact, back in the Before days, you were the one giving the orders. Youngest assistant coach for the Doosan bears, the Seoul baseball team, you were in line to become the youngest coach in the history of the country. And, yeah, you weren’t completely in charge, but you were trusted. You had responsibilities. People knew to take you seriously.
You’ve had ideas for how to run this place more efficiently, to avoid making the civilians feel like they’re second-rate citizens, but it’s been made clear to you that you weren’t welcome to make suggestions. So you haven’t bothered, lately, but you also won’t play in that stupid game, where people get to change the rules without telling you.
It means that you do a lot of aimless walking around in the stadium. Chief Ji implicitly lets you roam around, a testament to the fact that you knew each other well back in the days, when you used to bring her coffee before big games, but you mostly try to make yourself useful in the way soldiers haven’t bothered accounting for.
A lot of that means keeping an eye on kids that are left to themselves otherwise. Their parents are busy, and it’s not like there’s much to do for them, here, so you try to keep them entertained. Unfortunately, you’re no teacher, meaning that it’s a lot of physical activities, wherever you find enough place. Other days, people who are teachers take over for you. That is the case today, meaning you’d have the day ‘off’, if it weren’t for Yeong-Su not showing up for class.
You don’t personally think he should have to attend class. You know how mean the other kids can be to him, and though the teachers don’t do much in the name of keeping the peace, you don’t let that fly when you’re in charge. Which is probably why the kid never misses your classes, a small pride that you keep well tucked in your heart.
Still, the teachers insist that you make sure he’s okay, so you agree to go try and find him. He knows the stadium well, meaning it will be no easy task.
You end up finding him throwing a ball against a wall. It looks like he’s practicing his aim, you think when you notice that he’s drawn a square on it. You’re about to approach him, maybe give him a few pointers, when a particularly hard throw has the ball bouncing too high and it crashes through a window, finishing outside of the stadium.
You freeze. Monsters don’t approach the stadium much — it’s been months since there’s been a case of that happening.
But the mere thought of there being something open here still has your heart pounding with fear. It’s only a few seconds before you compose yourself, but that’s long enough for someone to come running. You rush towards Yeong-Su, prepared to fiercely defend him if you need to.
It’s Chan-Young, and you relax, even if your heart is now pounding for a whole other reason.
“What happened here?” he asks.
He may have been running with his whole equipment, but he shows no sign of being out of breath.
“I’m sorry,” Yeong-Su mumbles. He’s hard to handle, especially these days, but he clearly respects Chan-Young a lot. “I didn’t mean to— I was just practicing and—"
Oh gosh, you realize, kid was practicing pitching, and it’s not lost on you that that’s the position Chan-Young mainly played as.
“…and now I’ve lost my ball,” Yeong-Su sniffs.
He’s trying to hold back tears, and it tears a little piece of your heart away. You know that Yeong-Su had found a ball autographed by Chan-Young, know that it’s one of his most prized possessions. It’s no surprise that Yeong-Su can’t stand the thought of losing anything more than what he already has.
Chan-Young glances at you, still standing a few steps behind Yeong-Su.
“He didn’t mean to,” you say. “I’ll help you fix the window.” Eun-Yu probably won’t mind giving you a hand, too.
Chan-Young nods, and you watch as he puts a knee to the floor, so he’s at eye-level with Yeong-Su. If he was any other soldier, you’d be more cautious, but you know him. Worked with him, when he was on your team, lost him when he enlisted, and now you’re in this strange limbo, where he doesn’t seem to know how to interact with you, even though there is this obvious familiarity between the two of you, every time you do speak.
“You need to be more careful,” he tells Yeong-Su, putting on his Serious voice. “If a monster heard that and came in, it could be very dangerous for everyone. And if you’re in front of the window when it happens, it would attack you first. So don’t let that happen again, okay?”
Then he gives Yeong-Su a small, comforting smile.
“If you want to practice again, come ask me next time, okay?” He glances up at you, and there’s such softness in his eyes when he does. “Or ask the coach. She knows her stuff.”
You’d never become coach, not officially, but his use of the word makes your heart swell.
“Okay,” Yeong-Su mumbles, staring down at his feet.
For a moment, it looks like everything will resolve itself just like that, and you’re already putting a hand on Yeong-Su’s shoulders to pull him away with you, when you hear the familiar stomping of military boots coming towards you.
Chan-Young’s expression changes immediately.
“Go,” he orders.
“But…”
He spins around to grab your shoulders, lowering himself to look straight into your eyes.
“Go,” he repeats. “Please.”
There’s such urgency in his voice that you can’t deny him, even if you’re not sure what is going on exactly. You grab Yeong-Su’s hand and pull him with you until you’re both behind a corner, just in time. You keep an eye on the scene, confused. The soldiers behave like assholes, you know that, but surely—
“What happened here?” the Sergeant bellows in Chan-Young’s face. “You’re lucky it was us, who were standing outside the window, and not something else! You better have an explanation, soldier.”
“I’m sorry, sir,” Chan-Young says, shoulders straight, from what you can see. “I was just practicing and—”
Before you can wonder why he’d lie, the punch catches him in the stomach, and he doubles over in pain. You catch yourself before you can gasp out loud, and instinctively cover Yeong-Su’s mouth, which is probably a smart move, because he starts thrashing to run towards Chan-Young. You don’t blame him, but you also absolutely cannot let him do that, not right now.
“Yeong-Su,” you whisper, mimicking Chan-Young’s attitude with you just a minute ago. “You need to go back to Ms. Cha. Okay?”
“But they’re…”
You wince, because they’re still berating Chan-Young, and one of them has just given him a hard kick to the ribs. All the more reason for you to intervene.
“I’ll take care of it, I promise, but I can’t do that if you’re here. So go back to her, and I’ll come see you when everything is okay again, alright?”
He sniffs, rubs his eyes to hide the tears, then turns around and runs. At least he’s got a good survival instinct, you think, even if it hurts to remember where it comes from. The second you’re sure he’s not coming back, it’s your turn to run, but towards the soldiers this time, with a confidence that you now worry is wholly unwarranted.
“Hey, don’t you think that’s enough?” you interject, maneuvering so you can get between them and Chan-Young.
There’s a scoff and they roll their eyes. One of them puts his hand on your shoulder and pushes, but you barely take a step back. You’re used to men trying to intimidate you.
“I thought we’d made it clear that your opinions weren’t welcome,” Seo-Jin snaps at you, getting too close to your face for comfort — like that would make you budge.
“Doesn’t mean I’m going to let you beat up someone because he broke a fucking window, when if you’d gotten to work, that hole would be closed by now,” you reply on the same tone.
He opens his mouth to yell at you once more, a vein bulging on his forehead, when Chan-Young comes to stand in front of you. He’s barely just gotten on his feet, has one hand pressed against his rib cage, and still, he’s already coming to stop you from taking any risk. You want to scream at him and hug him all at the same time.
“Please, sir, she doesn’t have anything to do with this.”
Neither does he!
“That’s enough, Seo-Jin,” sergeant Kim finally intervenes, and the man immediately takes a step back. “Don’t let it happen again,” he tells Chan-Young. “And fix the hole,” he tells you, as an afterthought, before leaving and taking his team with him.
Your blood is boiling. He might try to be the voice of reason now, but you saw him doing nothing while his men got blood on their hands so he wouldn’t have to.
You don’t have time to think about it, though, because next to you, Chan-Young has slowly let himself slide to the floor.
“Are you okay?” you ask, panicked, while he grimaces and leans against the wall.
“I’m fine,” he says, an obvious lie. “You shouldn’t have said anything.”
“You took responsibility for something you had nothing to do with, but I’m the one who shouldn’t have said anything?”
He sighs, shakes his head.
“I just don’t want anything to happen to you,” he says. He looks at you with warm eyes, and you feel your breath catching in your throat.
There’s something about Chan-Young, there always has been. You always have to remind yourself that he’s nice to everyone, because he’s such a kind person. Even that didn’t stop you from falling for him — and it’s the second time that it happens, damn him.
“I’ll go get medical supplies,” you say, pushing yourself to your feet. “Stay here.”
“There’s no need to—”
“Please, do you want to die from an infection after surviving all these monsters? Stay. Here.”
You ignore any further protests as you rush to get the supplies.
It doesn’t take you long. Chief Ji provides you with what you need without questions, and apologizes for not being able to give you painkillers — they’re reserved for emergencies, she explains. You know the other supplies are, too, but you understand her reasoning, and just thank her with a quick nod and a promise to help out for the next few shifts outside the stadium, if she needs it.
When you come back, Chan-Young’s moved to sit on one of the boxes that are always laying around in here, and you grab another one to sit across from him.
“Open your jacket,” you say as you take the disinfectant.
“I— I don’t think that’s necessary—”
“C’mon, it’s nothing I haven’t seen before,” you say with an eyeroll, because the guys on the team weren’t exactly shy about taking their shirt off in front of you and he should remember that.
He clears his throat and glances away, and you notice his ears turning red.
“Um, right. Yeah. Just a second.”
Under the jacket, he’s wearing a simple white t-shirt, and he lifts it up so you can see for yourself.
And it’s not looking good. The area is red and swollen already, and you worry it will be worse soon. Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do about that, so you disinfect the scratches caused by the boots, and gesture for him to put it back down. You’d normally advise to put something cold on it, to calm the swelling, but that’s not really an option here, not when the little electricity you have is mostly used to keep the lights on.
“Try not to move around too much, okay?”
“I’ll try my best,” he says with a brief laugh. It’s a silly recommendation, and you both know it, but you still felt the need to say something.
“Now give me your hand, I’ll see what I can do.”
He does, and you carefully turn it to check the palm. You’re not sure if he hurt himself when he fell earlier, or if it’s just that there’s constantly manual work to be done and it’s hard not to injure your hand. Either way, you start cleaning it and disinfecting it as well.
“Do you think they would have been as hard on a kid?” you ask.
“No!” he protests immediately, maybe a tad too strongly. “They’re humans. I’m sure they wouldn’t have—” He interrupts himself, and you suspect that he knows they still could have hit him, a thought that makes your stomach turn. “But… Yeong-Su’s had a hard enough life as it is. People here are not… kind to him.”
“I’m not blaming you, especially after that,” you sigh, “I just— You do realize that it’s not your responsibility, right? I’d have helped the kid, and it could have ended better than…”
You gesture vaguely at him, and he closes his eyes for a second. He closes his fingers over yours where you’re holding his hand, rubs his thumb over your skin, which sends a wave of heat through your body. It only lasts a moment, though, before he catches himself and lets go.
“I’m— I was in charge, when his sister— I was supposed to be helping them. And I failed him.”
“What?” Ms. Cha told you that story, in hushed whispers, to explain why Yeong-Su was such a complicated child these days. It had been clear that there was nothing Chan-Young could have done. “You can’t blame yourself for someone turning into a monster and going on a rampage.”
“It happened on my watch,” he insists. “If I’d been more careful— If I hadn’t left the bus—”
You stop yourself to look at him straight in the eye. He’s close, but you don’t feel uncomfortable, not with him.
“That could have happened to anyone. You couldn’t have planned for it.” He exhales, long and slow.
“Thank you for saying that,” he says, but you can tell that your words haven’t sunk in. It breaks your heart, and yet you have no idea what more you can say. After all, you weren’t there. It makes sense that he wouldn’t believe you.
“You still shouldn’t put yourself in the line of danger to—” to what, anyway? Expiate his sins? What does he have to prove? Does he have a death wish or something? “You shouldn’t put yourself in danger when you don’t have to.”
“Better me than Yeong-Su,” he insists. “He’s just a kid, and he has his mom — well, Ms. Cha. And he has you.” You set the disinfectant back down, hands almost trembling as you realize where he’s going with this. “Better me than him,” he just concludes sadly.
“Park Chan-Young,” you say, “you don’t seriously think that, right?”
He doesn’t meet your eyes when he replies.
“He has a family here. I— don’t really have anyone—”
You’re not sure what goes through your head when you put your hand on his cheek and kiss him. If you had to rationalize it — which you’re not really in any position to do when it happens — you’d say that you just wanted to prove him how wrong he was. Truth is, though, that you also couldn’t bear the idea that you were letting him believe that when it was so entirely untrue.
His lips are warm against yours, and you think you feel him leaning into you, but you pull away too soon to know.
“There,” you say as you gather your things. “Now you know you do have someone, so don’t put yourself in danger unnecessarily, alright?”
Then you’re on your feet, hell-bent on fleeing the scene.
Of course, Chan-Young catches up with you in an instant. He grabs your wrist, and pulls you back against him. His eyes are wide as he searches yours.
“Did you mean that?” he asks, his voice catching in his throat.
“Mean what?” Your heart is pounding in your chest. You’re… not sure where he is going with this.
“It wasn’t pity, right? You— I have you?”
The words almost send a shiver down your spine.
“Of course you do. I don’t exactly go around kissing people—”
Next thing you know, his hands are cupping your face and his mouth is on yours. He kisses you feverishly, like he desperately needs you to prove your words to him. You kiss back without hesitation, wrapping your arms around his neck. It isn’t long before your back hits the wall and you let out a brief groan.
“Sorry,” he says, pulling away from you to check on you. “Are you—”
You don’t let him finish, pulling him back down against you. His hands move down to your waist, one of them slipping under your t-shirt to feel your bare skin. He’s kissing you slower now, more sensual, and he abandons your mouth to kiss down your jaw, then your neck, before he comes back to your lips.
“I shouldn’t—” he mumbles against you. “I’m not supposed to—”
“Everyone’s doing it,” you reply, but it doesn’t surprise you when he tears himself away from you. He’s a sight to behold, flushed and out of breath — and is it odd that you enjoy seeing him panting from kissing you when you know he can run for hours without struggling? He’s always been one to stick to the rules closely. It says a lot that he broke one right now, but you won’t push him any further, not until he’s ready.
You take a step back towards him, take his hand in yours, and press your lips to his cheek for one last, soft kiss.
“Don’t forget now,” you say. “You have me. Don’t risk your life without thinking.”
He doesn’t kiss you again, but he leans in to press his forehead against yours, squeezing your hand in his.
“I have you,” he repeats, as if to convince himself. “I have you.”

This one isnt actually like other undeads at all and actually very misleading. This is the only spirit type that still has their complete soul, and so are actually considered a monster type. And not an undead. And once a monster ghost finds the right vessel and has a high emotional state, they can fuse with the vessel and become corporeal. Making them effectively a monster of another subtype. (They will always be ghost type first, but they will get a second monster type based on the vessel. Be it like Doll or Robot or even an skeleton (yes they can possess dead matter and a human skeleton could work as vessel))
So. Ghosts! How they are formed is a bit of the mystery as the only people who know are ghosts and it is a mystery they hide fiercely. (Ghosts can both form from dead humans. And from ghosts themselves procreating)
It is rather ironic that most people still call spirits ghosts when ghosts actually refer to the living monsters. (Yes that makes the name of the drabble serie also very ironic because none of them are technically ghosts but that is beside the point.)
.
Next up the undead spirits. First rule with a spirit forming, almost always a traumatic or painful death of some kind is needed for them to form. A spirit is made of the left over magic and lifeforce/energy of a living person and these can be evoked and passed on through very strong emotions. Starting with the weakest.
Shades
Shades are the weakest type of spirit. They are hardly more than an echo. Their powers are limited to being shortly visible and very minimal interacting with things. They are also never fully there anymore personality wise. They are just a weak echo of the person they used to be. Often only remaining because of unfinished business that they may not even remember. It depends on how they feel in life. Often having very hopeless deads can cause shades to form. Most spirits in the world are shades and they just watch unable to interact or reach out for help.
Ask was VERY close to becoming a shade after his own dead. The only reason he didn't is because Dust managed to bring take revenge FOR him on Ash's rapist and murderer. (Sidenote. If you were to check in the cell the coach is stuck in. You would just see an empty and emotionless husk. Withering away slowly as Ash got all the lifeforce and soulenergy the coach had left BECAUSE Dust took revenge for him. Spirit and medium rules get weird like that. Neither Dust or Ash are aware of this.)
Phantoms
Phantoms are the next weakest but are the first type of spirits to keep their personality and all their memories when they die. They have a limited form and abilities as all their energy went into perserving their sense of self and identity. Phantoms are often the spirits who interact with ouiji boards. They are still invisible and rarely visible to the normal people. They could expand a lot of energy to be seen but that would be too tiring for them to maintain for long.
They often just want to be heard and tell their stories. They often want things to have mattered. Their existence to have mattered.
Ash only ended up in this section thanks to Dust as mentioned in the before section.
Horror is also in this sectionbut much stronger than Ash. Horror's dead made him realise how many things had been messed up and how he never truly had any influence in his life. He wanted deeply to have anythign he did matter. To be able to still do things and change things. Which is why he can still interact with the world and things around him. All things considered with how traumatic and depressing his death had been it is honestly a miracle he had still been as strong of hope and determined to make a difference.
Wraiths
Wraiths are the first spirits to be completely visible to people, monsters and humans alike. They appear completely normal and alive. But that is a trap, as these spirits only want one thing.
Revenge.
Once they get revenge against the person who hurt them while alive this feeling does not disappear. These spirits are consumed and motivated by rage and hatred alone. They want to hurt others the way they have been hurt. They want those they find guilty yo be punished.
But the longer a wraith exists to more removed they become from their original target. The longer they exist the less they will care about details. Maybe they originally wanted revenge against their abusive partner. Once that person is taken care off they will start looking for other abuse partners to kill. Once they can't find any more they will get into relationships and kill their partner for even the smallest argument. Until eventually they just target everyone in a relationship.
It is a slippery slope and the older a Wraith gets the more dangerous they become.
Dying with a lot of hatred and rage in your heart/soul leaves you as a Wraith.
Spectre
A spectre is not as much stronger than a Wraith as they have more control. They can chose if they want to be visible or not and are not consumed by their rage. They feel all the emotions as they did when alive but their emotions shift quickly. The smallest things can bring both joy but also sorrow and rage to a spectre.
And depending on their mood they will react.
They do not lose their rational thoughts but that makes them more dangerous as they learn and adapt to challenges.
While an old Wraith is dangerous as it targets everyone. An old Spectra is dangerous as they learn all they can about their target and they are patient enough to make your life a living hell to get their revenge. As a spectre is aware that death is just a possible end and escape for their target, and if they don't wish you to die you won't.
Spectres are often the cause of old hauntings in houses. The ones where you see something move or fly by but nothing attacks you. If you did not directly harm a spectre they will not care about you. They will ignore you and you can safely ignore them.
A cold need for revenge and an unfavouring focus on this gives you the ability to return as a Spectre after death.
Poltergeist
The poltergeist is stronger than the before mentioned spirits because they have all the same abilities as the other two but are truly free with their emotions. Tehy don't feel just rage or hatred or feel superchargest emotions like the spectres.
Poltergeists truly feel what they felt when they were alive and they are rare to form.
Rare enough that it is not common knowledge of how one comes to be. Very few in the story know how one can form (what makes them form is finding a freedom and relieve in death. If a person dies believing that death will just be the next adventure and freeing there is a posibility to return as a Poltergeist. This is not a matter of that someone wishing to die and for death returns as a Poltergeist, it is about wanting to life and wanting to continue but seeing death as a means to it. It is a chaotic way of thinking. To look at what everyone thinks is the end and see a new beginning. Killer, the glorious bastard, died a horrible death. But as he was laying there dying, being bitten by rats and mice as he could not even move and felt the hunger eat at him. He realised that death would be freeing. He would be free of the pain and the chains. It isn't that Killer wanted to die, he never did, but he did see it as a freedom to break free of all the chains holding him. And it did.)
Becuase Poltergeists don't feel the need for revenge they rarely focus on that. Instead they move on and start to explore their abilities and their options. It is why they will often make mischief happen. As they grow bored and want to play in a way they can. They want interaction as there are hardly any spirits that are on their level.
As they are powerful the weaker spirits will try to stay away from poltergeists. Afraid they will play and hurt them for their amusement. Some may, some may not. It depends on who the person was.
The Poltergeist is dangerous as they are rare and people just don't know what they can expect of know their limits. Many believe these may have been the most powerful if it weren't for their seemingly mischivious and carefree nature. Ironic, for a spirit.
And last, the strongest spirit.
Banshee
Banshees are by far the strongest spirit as they gain magical powers on their death. They can sing a soft song which is enchanting and able to hypnothesize you and encourage you to remain near them. Which is dangerous as they will hold you close before stealing your lifeforce and life-energy to empower themselves.
They also have a cry/scream which can split walls and crush bones. Which is from a weak Banshee.
Banshees do not feel empathy anymore. They know they used to be alive but the power and magic available to them makes them feel mor eimportant and above mortals. They feel like they have risen above and deserve to be served.
They do not take kindly to you refusing to listen to their orders or if you do not serve them. They will take it as a personal insult and they will try their hardest to make you reject this decision.
Banshees are formed from other spirits. Who manage to collect enough life force and life energy of other spirits to grow stronger.
If you find a banshee you quickly need to find help against it, as if you don't have the right tools you will not win. And the banshee will figure out you are against them, and they will make sure you never do that again.
.
As mentioned above, A banshee is formed through taking Life force or Life energy from other creatures, specifically other spirits.
All spirits have a very limited amount of this energy. Living people generate it for as long as they are alive and use it to make it into mana or just energy.
Spirits can steal this force from living people. Which is why they will often haunt people to begin with. To gain a little bit of this unlimitted source. But it is hard to take this energy from people as the physical body protects this.
It is easier to take from their fellow spirits as they do not have a physical form to protect this energy. Which is why spirits are almost always alone, as the only thing they truly and naturally have to fear are their fellow spirits.
(Ash is safe as he is anchored to Dust. Dust is sharing his own energy with his brother without much of a thought. And because Dust is one, physical, and two, a very powerful medium who has many charms to protect both himself and Ash (and later the other spirits stalking him))
.
There is one more type of undead to talk about.
The living undead.
Revenant
The revenant is not a zombie. A eevenant is a spirit who somehow gained a physical form again.
No one is sure what makes this possible or even how a spirit can achieve this.
This is not the same as possession. This is a way that they truly gain a body that is truly theirs. A body that is specific to their spirit and no one else.
Revenant are immune to possession and most of the other spirits's abilities.
But for now? Not even the experts on spirits know what a revenant can or could do.
After all... It isn't like this options happens...

BLUE LOCK MANGA SPOILERS BELOW:
I am NOT a theory blog, but I am a literature fanatic, so I REALLY want to talk about the Nagi thing and what I think the options are from here. You can debate me in the comments, but please do remain respectful and hear me out for a minute, lol
Idk, I may release a separate account for things like these, so my literature work will not get buried, but idrk.
Okay so, this plot of Nagi being eliminated is something I PREFER AND LOVE better than the other two controversies (the Rinsagi and Barou Shidou one), I am not against these other two but I was a bit confused for a second. But the Nagi one was something surprising yet not at the same time.
Death is foreshadowed for Nagi. And by death means a metaphorical one. Something the other Blue Lock players went through. This is my analysis of the whole Blue Lock evolution.
In order to evolve, one has to die. It has been a theme I have been noticing ever since the beginning of the story. And the thing that sealed it in for me is what Barou said to Nagi after the match between Ubers and Manshine:

Let me list out the major characters that I remember having have to go through this death, forgive me if some of them are a bit bleary because I cannot really decide which one is which.
1. Bachira
Bachira had this happen to him in the 4 vs. 4 in the second selection. In fact, the parallels between him and Nagi in the NEL are almost laughable. Bachira was wondering if his head was filled with thoughts and doubts if he should pass or not. What should he do?
In fact, due to his back story, we know that, like Nagi, Bachira did not want to be alone forever. That is the reason he even attached himself to Isagi because he feels that Isagi is that person he has been waiting for, the one he wanted to play football with.
However, unlike Nagi, Bachira did not pass. Even if he did not score, he made a conviction, a decision that he does not need a monster in order to succeed. He managed to evolve himself into another level, to get rid of the monster (or rather keep it locked in ig because it does come back in the NEL?)
He stopped leaning into his monster to make the beautiful plays he imagined (like how he will pass the ball to his monster when he was a child, that his coach before even chided him for making weird passes), but instead makes those plays himself.
(I will come back to Bachira later)
2. Barou
The 3 vs. 3 in the second selection is very obvious (I won't explain this because it's kind of self-explanatory) and here, he evolved too. He managed to find a new way to fight in Blue Lock. By devouring the light and becoming some sort of the Villain King in order to dominate the field.
It is still connected to his original ego to drag off anyone off the main actor seat, but it is a refined technique and thinking.
3. Chigiri
Now for Chigiri, I personally think that his death happened before Blue Lock. When he had his injury, I think that is where his metaphorical death happened. And unlike the aforementioned players, his death was a little longer as he just managed to rise from the ashes when he entered Blue Lock.
His newer outlook about not caring about being a genius and instead having to run past someone being the only thing he cares about elevated his original ego and made him evolve.
4. Rin
For Rin, I personally think that it's more on the U20 match rather than the snowy night he had the fight with Sae. Since the despair of having so many people by his side made him recoil in disgust.
Due to the realization of this, as well as his realization that he is not just Itoshi Sae's brother but instead, he is the egoist, Itoshi Rin made him stop incorporating his brother's play in his own and instead went with his original ego.
Now, these are only a few examples, and there are some characters who have more than just one death. Isagi literally has to 'die or kill' his current self everytime he incorporates a new skill to adapt (him being literally broken apart with the puzzle pieces)
According to Oxford Dictionary, death is not just the end of the life of a person or organism. It is also the destruction or end of something.
The end of a disillusioned thinking they, as well as their environement buried in their head into a better philosophy that hones their original ego. (I wanna make a post about the effect of the teachings of the past teachers and environment of the Blue Lockers into their egos being buried, turning their philosophy disillusioned and even self-destructive)
But anyway, moving on to Nagi. Out of the major characters, he is the one who has yet to 'die.' And I personally think this elimination would help him evolve his ego.
But wait...what even is his ego?
That is the thing, I don't know if he even has one (forgive me I have yet to read EpiNagi, but I will maybe I'll find something)
But in the main storyline, he doesn't have one. For me, one's ego literally means their original state. It is your nature, the thing you yearn for in your rawest form. Without anything holding you back, no ethics, no pressure, what is it you desire? What is it you hunger?
Whatever your answer is, that is your ego. It's something unique to only you, and even though to satisfy that hunger, you may conclude to a dream that can intersect with other people (like how every blue locker wants to be the best in the world) but your reasons and ways to achieve it are different.
Now, to Nagi. Sure, he has it. The talent, the way to achieve that goal (which we dont even get a confirmation that he wants), but what is his reason? For Reo?
I dont think the answer is Reo. As shown in the flashbacks, your ego is something developed within you when you are younger even. Since well, it is your nature, the thing you yearn for without any of the shackles and experience you go through in life.
As we see, ones ego is NEVER dependent on someone else. Everyone of us is different, therefore to achieve what you yearn for, you have to do it alone in order to fulfill that hunger within you. After all, who knows your hunger better than yourself?
Not wanting alone, maybe? It is debatable. It reminds me of Kaiser's yearning for love, to be human. And Nagi not wanting alone can become a good ego, but does that not sound counterintuitive with what ego is?
Your ego should not be dependent on someone as mentioned. But I can see it go two ways.
1. Nagi has a deeper ego. One that we maybe able to see if we have a backstory of him way before he met Reo as a child (kinda like how Rin had two backstories)
This can follow the same formula as the other major characters, where he will thrive as someone alone. And well, it would put the spin off manga good use lol
Or
2. Nagi's ego IS not wanting to be alone.
For the second option, it may explain the reason why of all characters, Nagi has a spin-off manga. His ego is DIFFERENT from what the other characters have. Where others' ego can stand alone, but Nagi's cant, and he needs someone.
The literal OPPOSITE of how ego is in the original series. Isagi is the mc of the og manga, he is someone who follows the blueprint of Ego's philosophy to a tee. Heck, we can even see that Ego may or may not have some bias for Isagi.
Why would he not? Isagi is literally the player that embodies his philosophy and keeps applying it. Heck they even synchronise in thoughts lol.
Meanwhile, in the movie, Ego didnt seem to like Nagi. The person who is literally the OPPOSITE on what he wanted to achieve. So you cant blame him.
So wouldn't it be interesting if the spin-off and the og manga went the complete opposite of each other? Nagi is the one to follow the plots a lot of sports manga follow. The one who can not win alone, or rather his ego, is dependent on someone.
While Isagi, follows the Blue Lock philosophy. Heck, it would even be funny to see that Ego taught Kunigami to distance himself from the teachings of Blue Lock in order to be the copy of Noa. To get rid of everything, to instill a different philosophy.
To which Kunigami failed (Isagi mentioned this, that even if Kunigami tries to act like a heartless robot, deep down he is still that emotional, good guy with a hero complex and is even the reason why he used this to make Kuni pass to him), but the person that got eliminated is the one who ended up succeeding in something Kunigami failed at.
It can also mirror between Kuni and Nagi being the two major characters that ended up eliminated, but the first one did not succeed in changing his philosophy but the other one did.
Okay, switch topic, about what I think is a theory as to what Nagi's backstory is if my theory is correct and how this connects to Bachira. There is one reason in my mind:
Bachira has a loving mom.
I know simple lmao. But lets get deeper in that.
We know that Nagi's parents practice the 'hands off' parental approach (idk I just call it abandonment), meaning he is always alone in his life. We can have a legit backstory of him as a kid being alone always as well. Because in my read of the situation, this is how he has been raised (if you can even call it that) even as a child.
Meanwhile, Bachira has a loving mom. One that actually affirms his son's feelings. And though he feels lonely when he plays football, he has someone who pays attention to him and loves him, making it easier for child Bachira to yearn for something else other than a companion.
But Nagi does NOT have that. How can he think of anything else when the loneliness glares at him so hard? It even looked like he did not have friends before Reo, meaning he was ISOLATED.
Heck, to prove this, he even has Choki. A freaking cactus just to be able to talk to someone or something. It has been glaring us that Nagi is LONELY. He is isolated. For me, this is a different lonely.
A lonely that is so cold, like in the middle of a dessert wasteland at night with no one to offer anything to him. That's why he yearns to not be lonely. Now, you guys might be saying "isnt it a little close to Kaiser's ego? To receive love?"
My answer is no. Kaiser wishes to improve himself to stop being sub human and become human to become someone worthy of love. Nagi does not have that thinking. He wants someone to be with him, someone who would fill that loneliness.
To deepen this even more, Nagi's loneliness may also be the reason why he is so naive and a bit shallow at times. Like when he asked Isagi why he tried so hard? A question that formed because he is a shallow thinker.
Why wouldn't he be a shallow thinker anyway? He is a genius, a genius that gets everything without trying. Losing the sight of the journey, because he has no journey.
Along with this, no one is there to even teach him any of these stuff. Hes kinda like Rapunzel from Tangled, but without the manipulation and forced isolation.
Also funny, he was compared to a baby chick, when baby chicks are very, very reliant on their mother. To those around them, but Nagi does not have anyone to rely to. To ask his questions to.
Well, until Reo appeared.
That is why when Reo befriended him, it was so important to Nagi even if he isnt showy about it. Whenever he tries to improve, he would always mention Reo's name. About how he is so excited to show it to Reo and everything.
Nagi thinks that if he plays for Reo, he won't be lonely. I know we joke in the fandom about how Reo is so obsessed with Nagi, but I'd argue Nagi is as obsessed with Reo.
It was the first time he had someone pay attention to him. At first, he looked quite apprehensive about it, and a little bit not okay with it since he is still lazy and Reo wants him to play. But, after a while, Reo grew on him, enough that he even started to play even if he complained.
It's a slow build imo. But it is there.
But this yearning for connection can be explored more than just with Reo. He asks questions to different people, Isagi, Rin, Barou, etc. About why they work hard. Why do they even try? And all those questions.
Nagi yearns for connections, especially when Reo does not give him the right answers. Does that mean he is betraying Reo? Nope. In his mind, he is doing this to become stronger for who? For Reo.
Heck, the author can even set Nagi up as a final rival of Isagi for this. Where two different ideologies clash. The two different philosophies of the spin off and the main manga would clash and where a winner will be declared for the final selection.
It is the philosophy of an individualistic egotism vs. the philosophy of collective Egotism. Both are egos but are different at the same time.
Anyways, I hope Kaneshiro continues Nagi's story because he is a really interesting and mysterious character. It would be sad to see such a huge potential both in talent and story wise go away like that.
But I have trust. While rereading some chapters for this, I recognized how good of a writer Kaneshiro is and how the metaphorical death of the players all mirror each other in some way which makes me feel like he is some sort of mastermind.
I know this theory has some holes. Things like, Bachira's words to Nagi when he hesitated to score and relied on Reo. And the negative connotations of his fear of being alone, because with how it is framed, his fear of being alone is negative.
But like I said. This is a THEORY. Feel free to argue with me in the comments! I want to have debates because I am SO BORED, and I wanna talk Blue Lock.
The only thing I dont wanna talk about is how Kaneshiro made a mistake by eliminating with Nagi because I think he made the right choice by doing this (unless he brings Nagi back with that voting system thing which idk how i'll react lol)
Sorry if some of these are scattered because I LITERALLY just typed everything in my head without having to write it down lol. I might repost this with a cleaner format. But for now, just enjoy my yapping😔
Anyways, shoutout to a channel in Youtube named Suzels. Please search his videos since he is like one of the saving graces of the Blue Lock fandom when it comes to literary comprehension lol. This theory is inspired by his video about Nagi.

Oliver Bjorkstrand: A Belated Goodbye
(and hello Lightning Lb)
So! Oliver Bjorkstrand is so longer a Seattle Kraken. As he moves on to his new home in Tampa Bay, I wanted to take a moment and send along some of his lore. He deserves a run; he deserves a home. We’re sad we couldn’t be that for him. Let’s review here… lore featuring a textbook portrait of a gifted kid, complete with a demanding father, psychological mind games from his father’s friend, grief, heartbreak and also…enduring friendship and resilience. Let’s go!

Bjorky is from an American family but born in Denmark since his father was a hockey player who was incentivized to play in Denmark.
His dad was friends with John Tortorella in college hockey.
This is important.
While Ollie was growing up, his dad was probably one of the most well-known names in hockey. Which made the attention on Ollie all the more intense. Plus: his dad coached him. (Ollie is the little baby in the blue helmet)
Of that time, reflecting back on it later, Ollie has said: “My dad’s pretty demanding. He expects hard work and so on.” His dad fairly infamously suspended 5 teenagers from his own team from the World Juniors for goofing off during a media apperance. Oliver has said he noticed that his dad has softened his approach since those times coaching his son.
And of coaching Oliver, his dad says: “Oliver was young. He was only 16. And he was pretty easy. He pretty much just tries to do his best when you give him instructions.”
Overall, the coaching worked: Oliver becomes excellent.
He begins his career in Denmark and quickly outpaces the skill level there, leading him to being selected 26th overall in the WHL import draft in 2012. He moves to the States to play for the Portland Winterhawks.
In 2013, he is selected 89th overall in the NHL Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets.
He will return to the WHL for the next couple seasons, where he wins championships and overall dominates the league. People know Oliver Bjorkstrand’s name.
He starts professionally in the AHL for the 2015-16 season, then makes his NHL debut in March of 2016.
He scores two goals in his second NHL game. The kid’s good.
He’s sent back to the AHL for their Calder Cup run and lmao Bjorkstrand literally wins them the Calder Cup dude like he scores the game winning goal in SO many of these games, including the final one!
HAHA FUCK THE HERSHEY BEARS (sorry, kraken fan, I have to say this, sorry) the Monsters win against them for the Calder Cup!
And Oliver is named the Most Valuable Player :)

Oliver belongs up with the NHL the next season and now we have to talk about a very important part of his lore.
John Tortorella is in charge of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
And he is. Very intense with Oliver Bjorkstrand. Oliver deflects a lot of the intensity by saying that he was prepared for Torts style by being coached by his dad, who is very similar. Which. Okay. Feeling normal about that!!
Where to start…there’s so much:
Torts tells Bjorkstrand that, to be a good player, he needs to copy Artemi Panarin. He doesn’t need to be Oliver Bjorkstrand; he needs to be more like an entirely different player. A player with a language barrier so high that Oliver can’t even become friends with him or have many conversations with him. He just has to try (and he fails) to become more like him.
He tells Bjorkstrand to be more like Panarin in front of the whole team, on the ice at practice. And the whole team is asked to support it, with Nick Foligno stating “[Bjorky] would be stupid not to learn from [Panarin]. And we know he’s not stupid.”
Torts pits Bjorkstrand and Anthony Duclair against one another, publicly, stating that there’s only room for one of them on the third line and the other one will be scratched if he isn’t good enough. This is discussed openly. Multiple articles about it.
The media has a field day, getting quotes from all parties involved and seeing who will please Tortorella the most.
This drags on, as Bjorkstrand struggles to get basic respect and regular ice time, but eventually he does. The Jackets enter the playoffs consistently from 2016-17 onwards.
Upon elimination from the playoffs in the 2020-2021 playoffs (a very strange pandemic series) he makes a statement: he wants to keep going. Despite the struggles of these early years with Torts, he is a committed Blue Jacket. He signs a five-year extension to remain with them in 2021.
That summer, he suffers the loss of Matiss Kivlenieks with the rest of his teammates. It could break them, but they show up to training camp ready to go for him.
And Oliver Bjorkstrand shows up with a brand new A on his sweater. They win in their home opener, and Bjorkstrand says of their lost goalie, “We played for him.”
He is a leader in this team. He certainly worked for it. But moves are necessary to bolster a broken team.

The Jackets don’t make the playoffs in the 21-22 season and Oliver Bjorkstrand spends his long summer getting married.
And then, during his honeymoon, he picks up his phone to find multiple missed calls and messages from his GM.
Oliver Bjorkstrand has been traded. On his honeymoon. To the very much struggling Seattle Kraken heading into their second season.
General manager Kekalainen says this was “the toughest decision” he’d made as a GM, sharing how wonderful Oliver is as a person.
He is gracious about it. He understands. He knows that his salary is high and space needs to be made, mostly for Johnny Gaudreau who is bringing much needed stardom for the team.
Ever the team player, ever the class act, Bjorkstrand and his wife reach out to Johnny and Meredith and personally sell them their new house so they don’t need to look too much for a house to move into. To make the move easy on two people even as they’re forced out.
So Oliver comes to Seattle. He struggles but he also doesn’t have to be EXCELLENT. He can be steady.
When Seattle adds on Eeli Tolvanen, Bjorky seems to bloom a little more. They become very close, laughing and talking constantly during games.
Those two get put on a line with Yanni Goirde and become affectionately known as the Brothers Line. Why?
“Those guys bicker like brothers,” head coach Dave Hakstol says of the three. They push each other. They joke. They’re goofing off and they’re also productive.
Oliver and his line get all the way to the first playoff appearance of the Kraken’s history.
And Oliver Bjorkstrand gets the game winning goal in game seven of their first playoff series.
No, the Kraken did not win the Cup. Of course not. But he did win them a playoff series that NO ONE expected them to win. And that secured him a spot in our hearts.
The next season, the Kraken are back to struggling, but Bjorkstrand continues to put the work in to be the steady presence with occasional game-breaking goals that we’ve grown to expect from him.
He is named all-star and he is…so Oliver Bjorkstrand about it lmao it’s so funny. If you know anything about him before this, it’s most likely this? Here’s an article.
At the All-Star game, he’s last to be chosen at the draft :/ but he scores first in the game for his team :)
Unfortunately, the Kraken continue to struggle after this and beyond, into the next season.
In November 2024, he’s healthy scratched for the first time in years. Coach Dan Bylsma (who replaced the fired Hakstol) sent the message that no one on the team was beyond reproach, including our current all-star.
And the media, they, uh. They asked Oliver’s dad about it.
Imagine getting scolded at work and then some people go and ask your dad about it lmao but he says: “He’s just got to take it and learn from it and try to be better.”
Great lmao
Bjorkstrand isn’t radically different after that, and his name begins to be floated around as a trade piece because he still isn’t to the level the Kraken hoped he would be when they traded for him in 2022.
He is traded during trade deadline week in 2025, along with Yanni Gourde, to Tampa.
And this is where we are now.

So this is who Oliver Bjorkstrand has been: a father’s protege, a juniors’ phenom, an AHL champion, a coach’s project, a gracious trade piece, a man who sells his home to the guy who pushed him out of town, a player who cancels his vacation to represent his team, a guy who looks like a professor but will drop the gloves in a second if so asked.
His NHL playoff appearance over the five years has only ever come in unexpected seasons, as the underdog. He was excellent in that appearance. EXCELLENT. I’m so excited to see how being a true contender ties in with that play.
And if we can stop asking his dad’s opinion when he fucks up, that would be AWESOME that would BE GREAT.
Anyway. I love him. Here’s him being really hot in Columbus.

A quick ficlet of my aftg au post ft Kevaaron and Andreil. Part 1
The first bit of news that freshman Neil Josten heard, when he stepped foot on Palmetto State’s campus, was juicy gossip about the infamous Minyard twins. Andrew and Aaron. Neil’s current teammates.
“The M in Minyard stands for Monsters.”
“Nuh-uh! It's for Murderers!”
“Whaaat? I thought it was for Maimed?”
“Either way, it's all true. The rumors? Has to be. There was a whole court case and everything!”
“Right? They're totally insane.”
“Dangerous.”
“A waste of space until Kevin Day took pity on them.”
The second bit of news that graced Neil's ears was how his estranged turned rekindled childhood friend Kevin Day, AKA the Son of Exy, is as popular as ever among the masses.
“Kevin’s a real saint! What a man. An angel.”
Also known as the Queen of Exy.
“And dream boat! Can't forget that. He's so freaking hot!”
Prince Charming on paper.
“Man is fine! Okaaaay! A tree I’d certainly climb!”
Legacy poster boy in front of the cameras.
“Only good thing those Foxes got going for them, really. Kevin is a—”
Personal pain in the ass, according to his teammates and in Neil's honest opinion.
It's been some months now since Neil got recruited personally, straight after high school, by Coach Wymack and Kevin to become a striker for the Foxes. So far, he's happy with his choice. Although, if they could win games and act more like a unit instead of having mini Civil Wars once a week, then Neil would be absolutely euphoric.
“We need to talk.” Kevin pulls Neil aside once practice is done. Everyone’s already hitting the showers, eager to take off their sweat soaked uniforms and gear. Neil spares a glance at one of the twins, his attention entirely glued to Andrew’s retreating form. Kevin whispers in Neil’s ear when he thinks no one’s looking. “It's about the Minyard problem.”
“Okay.” Neil agrees and follows Kevin to Coach Wymack's office for privacy.
It's not exactly private. Wymack is still in there, sorting through paperwork stacks on his cluttered desk, but he has kept his word on not getting involved in the personal matters of the team, and Neil knows that Kevin’s going to somehow steer their conversation in that direction sooner or later. Kevin shuts the office door and deeply sighs. He locks his tired green eyes with Neil’s crisp blue.
“I need the defense lineup to play better. Get motivated. Andrew’s a champion in the making when he humors me. Aaron’s better than Matt at blocking and passing. Even their cousin Nicky has potential when he actually tries!”
“You know they're only doing this for a free ride through college, though.” Neil reminds him, shrugging his shoulders and crossing his arms. “They don't get it. Don’t have the same drive that you, me, or Dan thrive off of.”
“But they could be like us!” Kevin hisses, pacing the floor in circles with an exasperated hand carding through his hair. “If we get through to one of their thick heads, we all could make court! Be Olympians even! If only they could channel all their efforts from half-assing into legit initiative.”
Neil stays silent for a bit, watching Kevin having his daily meltdown at the dire state of the Foxes’ underperformance, despite the rigid training that other Exy teams would kill for, if it meant Kevin saw a future in them. Neil’s initial introduction to the cannonball Minyard twins and their loose anchor Nicky, had his brain working overtime into concocting a surefire plan to fix it all.
“Any ideas?” Kevin finally pauses mid-rant.
Neil merely nods. Kevin grimaces at the non-elaboration. “Well, say something!”
“Andrew calls the shots. Make Andrew give a damn and his family will fall in line.” Neil makes it sound easy.
“Don’t you think I’ve already tried that?” Kevin huffs.
Smirking wildly and narrowing his eyes, Neil tilts his head in challenge. “That was before I came along. Remember? With me at your side now, we’re gonna win.”
For a few seconds, Kevin is dumbfounded. He blinks and searches Neil’s scarred face for any trace of faltering. When he sees that Neil’s serious, the spirited energy infects Kevin too.
“You’re right. I was tackling them by myself back then.” Kevin flits a finger between him and Neil. “You and me against them, partner.”
Satisfied that they’re on the same page, Neil’s about to leave the office and beeline to the lockers to wash up, but Kevin stops him with a grab of his arm.
“What now?”
“We have to discuss the other issue.”
“Which is…?”
“The Minyard problem.” Kevin repeats, except this time his tone is different, and Neil knows exactly what’s coming next from his friend’s mouth. “I waited it out, Neil, I really did, for a whole year after transferring from the Ravens and it’s still there. This nagging, demanding want or whatever I have for Aaron.”
“Same. Andrew’s on my mind a lot, too. Won’t go away.” Neil empathizes, mirroring Kevin’s frown.
The two of them, when not obsessing over Exy, have been constantly slammed with an unexpected onslaught of feelings for their preferred twin. Respectively.
Too bad the Minyard twins don’t date. If they did, neither Kevin nor Neil know if they’re attracted to guys, and if they are, then they have no clue if Andrew or Aaron would even hookup with a guy from campus let alone on the team.
“What are we gonna do?” Kevin has his head in his hands.
“What we do best.” Neil scratches the back of his head.
They share a look. Green eyes meet blue. Unspoken contracts signed with their fierce gazes. Neil and Kevin say at the same time with determination, “Game plan.”
And in his office, Wymack gets an unwanted front row seat of his two strikers digging their own grave strategizing how to romance the awful, off-putting, aggrieved Minyard twins.
series title (subject to change) is called: Why He Kinda...
Part 2
tagging @icangotwiceashigh
cuz Kevin and Neil are insane for risking death to be with their chosen Minyard twin lol

[4:44 PM] Suna Rintarou
Quickly whipped this because I'm trying to find an excuse to not go to the gym. Nothing edited. I know all I ever post about is Rin, Rin, Kiyoomi, Shinsuke, and Rin again... he was just too fitting for this. I'm really trying to expand my fantasy to the other characters.
Warning: Angst, asshole Rin, makeup smut contents .
Rintarou let out a frustrated sigh having been blocked once again. That was three times now in a row.
“Shake it off!” he heard his teammate shout.
“Suna!” Turning his head, he can see his coach signaling for him to rotate out, switching with his other teammate.
As soon as he was off the court, his coach jerked his head, indicating for him to take the empty seat beside him. “What’s going on?”
Rintarou inhales sharply, “bad day, I guess?” He knew what was going on, just didn’t want to speak of it.
“Well, turn that bad day into a good day, shake it off, everyone needs you.” His coach pats his shoulder, “do whatever you gotta do.”
EPJ Raijin lost their second set, this third game will determine their win or not.
With a towel over his head, Rin zoned out, tuning out the sound of the crowd and everything else around him. The only thing on his mind was Y/n.
Three weeks ago, they abruptly ended their casual fling.
No matter how many times he tried to convince himself that it wasn’t his fault, it was definitely, his fault.
He is a hypocrite.
He was the one who said just casual sex. No feelings.
But the moment he saw her at a table with another man he did not recognize at one of Matsumoto’s top restaurants, he lost his shit.
How dare she doll up and wear a red dress, the red dress he purchased for her to go on a date with this mother fucker.
He watched as Y/n looked at her phone, the smile on her face immediately disappeared. Rin looked down at his phone, seeing the Read underneath the photo he sent her.
Y/n glanced up, her eyes scanning the room until they met his. He arched an eyebrow at her, and she responded by tilting her head, mirroring his expression perfectly.
Bathroom. Now. He texted.
Rin didn’t need to look back to see Y/n following him shortly as he made his way to the restroom.
He tugged her into the private room, locking the door behind him. “Really?” His eyes scanned her from head to toe.
“Really,” Y/n smiled, and she gave him a spin. “Do you not like it?”
Y/n knew how to rile him up, making the green jealous monster within him wake up and flip a table.
Rin stalked towards her, noticing how her smile slowly faded as she stepped back until she hit the counter of the sink. He pressed himself against her, sandwiching her between him and the counter. His fingers trail along her jaw, “does your date know that I purchased this dress and that I’ve fucked you while you were wearing it?”
“Be careful Rintarou,” she only used his full name when she was serious, “jealousy looks good on you but some might believe you’ve developed feelings for me.”
She has become bold, voicing her feelings each day.
Rin was not oblivious. He knows this casual fling between them needs to end. He wasn’t blind to her recent advances.
How her eyes twinkle for him when he comes over.
How she holds him tighter when he’s rocking deeply inside her.
How she whispers his name with love.
How she kisses his palms before a game, giving him luck.
She is expressing her love for him in every possible way except through words. Because the moment she played that card, he would end the game.
“You’re becoming delusional, Y/n.” He gritted, his lips smirking, “I will admit I am jealous, should I show you how jealous I am?”
They glared at one another, Y/n looking deep into his eyes, searching for the man she fell in love with. Deep down, she knew her place. “Do it,” she whispered, “I dare you.”
His eyes darken and she’s flipped around in a blink of an eye. She sees in the mirror as Rin tugs her dress up, bunching it at her hips, his fingers immediately graze over the thin lacy thong, circling her clit.
She swallowed the lump in her throat, biting down on her lip to prevent herself from moaning. “Hurry, I have my date I need to get back to.”
“As you wish.”
Y/n half gasped and yelped at his hand and slapped her right ass cheek. Her thong is pushed to the side as feels his cock sliding in between her thighs.
“You’re soaked, was it me or him?” He began rocking, thrusting in between her thighs. He pulled her against him, locking an arm around her shoulder. He locked eyes with her through the mirror, “answer me.”
“You.” Y/n whispered, “you made me this wet…” she whimpered when he rolled his hips, his cock grazing against her clit. “Please… Rin…”
His teeth nips her earlobe as he reached in between them and align his cock to her pussy and slipped inside in one swift thrust. He wastes no time pounding into her from behind. Y/n’s hand comes to cover her mouth.
His groans are heavy against her ear and he hated it, hated how she made him feel. His teeth bite down on her skin, biting down hard until he can feel Y/n flitching and tightening around his cock.
Rin pulls away, satisfied by his mark, knowing it would be visible. He pauses his movement for a second, maneuvering her until she is bent forward before him. His grip on her hips tightened as he resumed his thrusts, pounding until the small bathroom echoed only of their skin slapping.
Y/n drops onto her elbow, head falling forward as her moans are muffled by her hands. He was thrusting deep inside her, triggering her orgasm faster than usual. “Ri – Rin…” she whimpered, a hand reaching behind to push against his abdomen. “Too fast…”
He gripped her wrist and thrust faster until the moment he felt her pussy flutter around his cock.
“Ah,” he groaned coming undone, pounding into her slowly yet hard with each ejaculation. His eyes suddenly widened, “fuck.”
He forgot to wear a condom.
He let go of her wrist and immediately withdrew, his cock was coated with their essence. It wasn’t a time for his cock to twitch lively again at the sight of his cum leaking down Y/n’s pussy and down her thighs.
He swore again, half turned on and half pissed off at himself.
He always wore a condom.
“Here,” he slammed a few bills on the counter, “get yourself the pill. Let’s end this.”
Rin groaned, covering his face. He was such a fucken asshole.
He glanced down at his palms, feeling disheartened by his poor performance, and was convinced that it was all because Y/n hadn’t kissed his palms before the game.
His mind flashed back to the very first time she had done it. She had come to his game, and just before it started, she called his name and took hold of his wrists. Rin looked at her confused, but she gently turned his palms upward and pressed her lips to the center of his hand. “Good luck kisses,” she whispered with a smile.
“Hey, look it’s Y/n.”
Rin’s head snapped up, and he swiftly removed the towel from his head. Before him stood Motoya, gazing towards the crowd behind Rin. In response, Rin pivoted his upper body and scanned the bustling crowd. “Where?”
“Right there!” Motoya pointed.
Rin’s gaze tracked his pointed finger until it intersected with the eyes of the pair he longed for so intensely.
As if caught in the act, she hastily concealed her face and attempted to make a swift getaway.
“Y/n!” Rin roared over the loud music and crowd chatter, chasing after her. He hopped over the barriers and ascended the stairs with determination. “Y/n!” he called out once more, steadily closing the gap between them as she weaved through the crowd.
Finally, reaching his limit, he lengthened his strides and snagged her wrist, gently drawing her into his embrace. “Stop, please don’t run,” he implored softly. His arms constricted around her, one hand tenderly cradling the back of her head. “Please don’t go,” he whispered.
She remained tensed in his embrace and softly uttered, “you’re the one who walked away.”
“I know, I’m a fucken fool. I’m so sorry, I’m sorry I left you. Please,” he pulled away, swallowing the lump in his throat. “Please come back to me, I am a mess without you. I need you, Y/n. I –” he blinks the tears back, “I’m in love with you, please come back to me, please.”
Her eyes widen, hearing the words she longed to hear. Tears filled her pretty eyes as she closed them, letting the tears fall down her cheeks before she nodded her head.
Rin sighed in relief and hugged her once more, “thank God. I love you. I love you, Y/n. I love you so fucken much and it took walking away from you to realize I am in love with you all this time.” He leaned back to cup her face, “please, can I kiss you?”
She extended her hand to gently cup his face, drawing him down to meet her lips. Their mouths danced in a graceful, passionate exchange until they parted, both gasping for breath. Their lips inches apart, “I love… I love you too, Rin. I loved you for a long time.”
“I know, I know baby.” He pressed his lips against hers again. “I’m never letting you go again.”
Y/n nodded, “promise?”
“Yeah, promise.”
Her eyes widened and she leaned back, “Rin don’t you have a – “
“Suna! Where the fuck did you go? The third set is about to start!”
.
Rin’s mouth never once left Y/n as they stumbled into his apartment. He pulled away briefly to tug off his shirt before his mouth resumed hungrily against hers.
In the grueling third set, EPJ Raijin fought valiantly, shedding blood and sweat, and managed to secure a hard-fought victory. Finally, with the fortunate kisses pressed onto his palm by his beloved, Rin executed his spikes flawlessly, scoring nine crucial points that contributed to their triumphant win.
His hands rest on Y/n’s hips, guiding her backward towards the hall of his place and into his bedroom. He is nervous, almost shy at standing half naked before her. “I… I didn’t get to shower after the game – do you want to shower together?”
Her lips curved upward as she grabbed his hand leading him into his bathroom. She quickly stripped her clothes off and turned on the shower, looking over her shoulder, Rin stood there gawking as if he had never seen her naked before. “You coming?”
He quickly pushed down his joggers and boxers, striding into the shower with her. The water cascaded down their bodies as she reached for his body wash to spread it all over his body.
Rin caught her wrist that was lathering his chest with body wash and brought it down to his cock, he closed her hand around it. He hissed feeling his cock harden from her touch. “Y/n,” he murmured, slowly thrusting into her hand.
Y/n stepped closer, pressed her lips to his left nipple, sucking it gently and swirling her tongue around the bud. Her hand tightens around his cock as she strokes him faster.
He hissed, reaching with his other hand to find her clit, “missed this.”
“I missed this too,” Y/n squeezed his cock, pressing her thumb against the tip. She was about to drop to her knees when he stopped her.
“I need to be inside you, now.” He lifted her, her legs wrapped around his hips and arms around his neck. He easily slipped his cock inside her pussy.
For a brief moment, they savored the intimate moment of being united as one again.
Y/n leaned down and kissed him deeply and passionately, rocking her hips to meet his thrusts. “Ah!” she breaks the kiss, moaning his name. “We – we forgot a condom – again…”
Rin thrust deeper, pressing his lips to her clavicle. “I’m clean, there – there’s been no one but you…”
Y/n’s arms tighten around his shoulder and neck, her lips to his ear, “that’s not what I mean… Rin – we could risk –“
Rin is reminded of the last time he came inside of her. He is selfish but he wanted nothing more than to cum inside of her again, over again and again until he knows she is pregnant.
Y/n pregnant with his baby, he loves the thought of that.
He wanted that.
Y/n moaned loudly into his ear, “you like that?” She tightens her pussy around his cock, hearing him groan, slowing his hips. “You want to knock me up, Rin? You want me to have your baby?” He hummed, agreeing. “You want to breed me?”
“Yes. Fuck yes. I want to breed you. Cum inside you again. And again.” His nose trailed along her neck until he reached her ear, “I’m not asking Y/n, I’m going to cum inside you. I’m going to put a baby – my baby inside you.” He nipped her earlobe, fastening his thrust. He is so closed, all this promise is knocking him over the edge as he is eager to cum inside of her. “You’re mine.”
Y/n tightens her arms and legs around him, chanting, “yes! Want your baby!” Her tummy coils, tightening and her body trembles in release, cumming around his cock.
Rin pressed Y/n against the tile walls, hooking his arms behind her knees and hoisting her weight so he could pound into her pussy with the purpose to breed.
Her overstimulated pussy fluttered around his cock until he painted her womb with his cum.
Walking over to the seat built into his shower, he sits down, keeping Y/n close as she straddles his lap. They catch their breaths, gazing tiredly yet lovingly into each other’s eyes.
Y/n was about to lift herself off of him when he stopped her, “don’t, not yet.”
She relaxed around him, holding onto his shoulders. “You’re serious about baby-making?”
“Yes,” he answered without hesitation. “It sounded like in the heat of the moment talk but I’m dead serious. Were you not serious?”
Y/n threaded her fingers through his wet hair, slicking it back. “Aside from you telling me you love me and want to be with me, I want nothing more than to have your baby.” She lifts herself off, letting his flaccid cock fall limp. “But before that, let us focus on just the two of us for now.” She pressed her lips against his, “take me out on a proper date first.”
Rin grins against her lips, “a little out of order but yes, anything you want.”
. . .
E/n: When I'm writing and releasing my dirty imagination, Rin is the only one I can see getting away with this shit. He can talk about breeding any time and I'll be like... "yes daddy." Please don't be like me. Make good choices. Lol. I'm finishing up on Lord Ushijima... I'll share it soon.

breaking the internet

chapter three part 2 After one video and a candid photo, Miss Journalist and Hiori go viral as their chemistry together off-camera stirs up unexpected fan attention, leaving them both wondering what’s next.. blue lock longfic series pairinghiori yo x reader contains slow slow slow burn, post blue lock timeskip, afab!reader, angst, fluff masterlist
When the video is posted, fans flock to it, flooding the comments with love for how goofy, fun, and relatable Bastard München is.
The support pours in across social media, and you can’t help but feel a warm pride at how it all turned out. Your role as the audience’s eyes and ears seems to have struck a chord, with fans calling your presence refreshing and authentic.
Raichi earns the affectionate title of "boyfailure" from fans, who find his antics both chaotic and endearing. They jokingly thank you for covering the camera when he went topless but not-so-subtly request sweaty, shirtless Isagi and Yukimiya footage for future content.
Others requested a cooking video featuring Gagamaru.
As for the dribbling drills, fans can’t stop talking about how intimate it looked, many calling you “lucky” to have a one-on-one crash course with a pro like Hiori.
Of course, Coach Noa’s commanding presence sparks its own wave of thirsty comments, with people shamelessly asking if he’s single or available for marriage.
But it’s the next video that Bastard München’s social media posts that truly shocks you — and the entire internet.
What starts as a harmless blooper reel quickly spirals into something else entirely. The video opens with Sachs chasing a topless Raichi around the field. Gagamaru serves potstickers in the kitchen with motherly precision.
Ness is spotted studying, his room neat as a pin. Isagi, Kurona, and Kunigami run laps, their shirts sticking to their backs as they sweat under the sun. Coach Noa looms broodingly in the background, observing the team’s drills with laser focus.
Then, the clips shift. There’s Hiori teaching you during the dribbling drills, his tone soft and encouraging. You laugh awkwardly as you try to trap the ball, missing it ungracefully, but his quiet smile in the background makes the moment feel oddly tender.
The next clip shows the two of you sitting on the field after practice, grass sticking to your clothes, both of you sweaty and tired. Hiori’s holding up his phone, showing you his Monster Hunter Now account, and your faces are so close it’s a miracle neither of you noticed.
Your laughter mixes with his, light and unguarded, and the camera captures it all as if the world had briefly fallen away, leaving just the two of you.
And then the video moves on, but your mind doesn’t. Your heart races, pounding in your chest so loudly that the rest of the reel becomes background noise.
Before you can process what you’ve just seen, your phone buzzes with a Winstagram notification:
Bastard München tagged you in a story.
Your throat dries up. Hesitant, you click it open.
Bastard München’s story is a series of candid snapshots from the day, each one highlighting a different player. But then you see it — the photo that makes your stomach flip.
It’s a candid shot of you and Hiori sitting on the field. He’s looking at you, his expression soft, his eyes carrying something unspoken that makes your cheeks burn. You’re gazing off into the distance, a gentle smile on your lips, completely oblivious to the moment.
The text on the image reads: When the game ends, but the chemistry continues.
Your breath hitches. Your heart feels like it’s trying to beat its way out of your chest, and a flood of emotions crashes over you — embarrassment, disbelief, and something fluttery and warm that you can’t quite name.
It doesn’t take long for your colleagues and editor to blow up your phone, their messages ranging from teasing to outright gossiping.
Amid the chaos, a new notification pops up: a direct message from hiori_yo23.
hiori_yo23: wanna play monhun, miss cute journalist? hiori_yo23: (☆`• ω •´)b
You stare at the screen, your lips curving into an involuntary smile. He doesn’t seem the least bit fazed by the uproar that photo will undoubtedly cause in the coming hours — or days.
For a moment, you forget about the world outside and type your reply:
yn_offthepage: g! ill be in ur care. ໒꒰ྀིᵔ ᵕ ᵔ ꒱ྀི১ hiori_yo23: i gotchu ( ദ്ദി ˙ᗜ˙ )
amari's notes: tooth rotting fluff?! hiori you are a menace to the society, you tease i decided to split this from the first part coz i don't wanna ruin the angst and fluff. my proofreader (who is a guy and has't read/watched bllk) was giddy and cringing (in a good way) when he read this! we're finally picking up pace, i'm excited for the next chapter hihi (♡ˊ͈ ꒳ ˋ͈)

Nerd Headcanons because this post was only supposed to be about one but I went a little wild-
I headcannon Richie as Aroace(Asexual, Demi-romantic), so I like to imagine Grace befriending him due to his lack of interest, and then becoming borderline obsessed with him due to how completely abstinent he is, meanwhile he's just like, "Why are you even here? Go away"
I also headcannon that Ruth is the only reason Richie and Pete were even friends. The way I picture it is that Ruth and Pete had to do a math assignment together in middle school, and they weren't really working together, more like working around each other, and all the sudden Pete makes a dumb Star Wars reference and Ruth flips out. Like, she's so excited that she completely lights up and starts rambling to him about her headcannons and ships, and Pete just sits there kinda stunned until she brings up a headcannon that he actually thinks is interesting, So all the sudden the two are just having a conversation about the things that make the headcannon so good, and they get so invested in the conversation that they don't finish the assignment before the end of class, so Ruth invites Pete to sit with her a lunch the next day. So he goes to sit with her, and there's this blue haired weeb(idc if its not canon, Richie had a blue hair phase) who's arguing with her, when the weeb notices Pete and shoots him the nastiest, bitchiest look on the planet, and Pete's just like "i^i". And Ruth introduces Pete as her math buddy and starts talking about their Star Wars convo, and Richie goes on a rant about how Star Wars is stupid and Pete starts arguing his points, and is turns into an actual fight. And then later Ruth is talking to Pete later in class and Pete's like "Hey, Your friend sucks-" and Ruth is like "Yeah, he's such a bitch. Don't worry, I put pickle juice in his monster this morning" and Pete's just like "Wtf bro, what is your friendship-"
And the reason that Richie and Ruth are friends is because in elementary school, Ruth used to eat glue and Richie used to doodle girls in pretty dresses so he got picked on. So Ruth just kind of adopted him as her friend, and they just naturally developed a sibling like bond over time.
I also headcannon that Ruth's parents were also nerds, and they like nerdy shit things and are super supportive(Ruth and Esther would totally get along. They're Cousins or siblings, take your pick), But Richie has a weird dynamic with his family, where he's not really understood by them so he gets more territorial over his interests, and Ruth understands that so she lets him ramble about whatever he wants, even if he's kind of being a dick about it. I also Headcannon that Richie was actually on the swim team for a while(I grabbed that headcannona from someone else), and was way more chill being able to connect with others, but Max saw Kyle talking to Richie after swim practice before a football game, and he started spreading rumors that Richie was gay, and eventually he dropped out due to harassment.
Pete and Riche would've gotten along way better while Richie was on the swim team, and they probably considered themselves actual friends, but as Richie lost his feeling of belonging on the Swim team, their relationship would've deteriorated again, but Pete would've realized that he's just abd angst fucking bitch and hated him less for it.
Ruth totally looked into swimming the minute Richie said he was into it, and she totally helped him practice outside of school. She was the one cheering the loudest for him at meets, and she'd yell at him like a coach when they practiced together.
Ruth probably has people telling her to shut up all the time, so she's a fiesty little shit when it comes to clapbacks. She can think of them fast and on point, and likes to make a game out of it. Unfortunately, you cant do that on stage, so she feels helpless to defend herself and thats why she has such bad stage fright. She's probably a really, really good actor, too. I imagine her being able to break down sobbing like her baby was hit by a car, only to smile and bow Meer seconds later. She's probably fucking wonderful.

ooc: SAGE AND RECLUSE TALK ABOUT NIGHTMARES 🗣️🗣️ + wholesome truthless 👀
then the group is off the diner in the cremé republic :D (because funny)
f: recluse! Pardon recluse.
t: hm?..
*is wearing a dark blue and black suit, it's not baggy like his usual attire, even his hair was put in a small pony tail*
f: ...!?
...my..!..r-recluse! You look fabulous!.. it's so nice to see you in something more fancy!
t: this feels odd.. but at least I look okay.. according to you..
Did you need something..?
f: ah well.. you..see-.. I had a terrible dream last night and I've been recommended to speak to you about it..
You are my friend afterall..
it was what I planned to discuss earlier before we were interrupted by getting ready..
t: ah.
Well. Go ahead. *Sits down*
f: well *pacing around, avoiding eye contact with the recluse due his "new weird feelings"* you see. I had a nightmare, in involved this monster that charged at me and then I met the new cookie that's hovering around and t-then they told me the monster represents my fears and insecurities and that if I remember correctly.. is that I've hurt someone with my words and own thoughts and I feel guilty, I'm worried over our friendship and my own fears over becoming a beast cookie..
... Who did I hurt..?
t: the beast. Your own disdain for "fate" and constantly fearing it will affect him after awhile, whilst I hate the beast, constantly being reminded of who you were and how much they'd hate to be you, would hurt. Especially when he already spoke to you about how you shouldn't hope and that he "hates himself". You're only making him hate himself more. It's just realistic.
f: ....oh...
t: but no one can prevent nor change the way you feel about your own potential future and who's affected by your own thoughts and words about yourself. The beast will be fine but you just have it on your subconscious that you've hurt him...
That wouldn't bother me but I'm not as kind as you.
f: nothing ever bothers you.. haha! Not when a silly nightmare I bet!
t: not anymore. I've grown so numb to the nightmares I experience but they affect my ability to rest that they just irritate me.
f: if it's not too personal.. what do you have nightmares about..
t: ....my friends. Their words of "pure vanilla cookie help us" are now nothing but a fleeting sting to my heart. I feel barely anything to it. I understand I failed everyone. I failed them especially but the constant reminders are tiring.
I just want to sleep one night without the reminders. They don't even really hurt anymore but I can't move past it. It's pathetic.
f: ...a..ah...... I'm... sorry for that....
....do you ever dream about the beast.
t: no.. my mind has thwarted that monster already. I simply do not fear it. However. I have dreamt about you once. 2 nights ago. I actually slept.
f: oh! What did we do?
t: it was merely dreaming about events that occured that day but I suppose it was better than reminders of my past before this.
f: heh-.. but..yes.. I had a terrible nightmare, it seems to get worse each time! Like.. my fear is growing..
Why would I be worried about us..why am I so worried about a maybe!?..
...why can't I make this stop..is my willpower that weak? Is this why I corrupted.. my mind couldn't take it?
t: *stands up and puts his hand on sages shoulder* it's normal to worry. It doesn't make you weak, don't think you are. Don't close yourself up like the beast did. I like how open you are about how you feel. I'm unable to do it myself, it's good to have a coach..
please stop worrying about hurting me or losing me because you "became a monster". I told you. I would still accept you regardless and be the guide you need back to who you are right now. I care about you, sage.
*the recluse gives sage a genuine smile, no weakness or force behind it as if it came straight from his cold heart, finally displaying some warmth despite the hurt inside he feels.*
f: .....i-i..!..
t: you are my friend. I don't express how much I care but I try to. I fed you today because I know you haven't eaten in 2 days... I gave you a crystal because I know you like trinkets and shiny things, I once gave you a vanilla orchid because you like them. I'm called a silent observer for a reason. I learnt things from looking and listening instead of talking.
f: ... R-recluse..i-i um..I.. I.. I'm.. I'm.
... Ugh..
t: ...are you okay?
f: it's just.. I have these...weird new feelings, they're quite bothersome but I'll get over them! Fret not!
t: alright.
f: ....
......
*hugs recluse then runs off* thanks for the chat my friend!
t: ..... You're...welcome..

Well, since I've already arrived at the conclusion my PJO posts tend to get more traffic (even though that's very clearly not a hard-and-fast rule - I'm pretty sure my post about Minos stands at 4 notes or something), I've decided to be tricky and write a crossover post. Now, you've already seen my attempt at Reverse dæmorphing (if you've been following things; if you haven't, it's here). This is something I started thinking of a little before writing this post. So, some similar thought processes were applied - though the post you're currently reading is a little more of a "shitpost", as they are called.
So, without further ado: who I think would be the godly parent of every Animorphs member, what I think would be the battle morph of major PJO characters, and possible added bonus of theoretical dæmon forms for the PJO cast. Vague ideas about each direction of the crossover type discussed in said reverse Dæmorphing post (setting and characters of one franchise with overarching elements of the other interwoven in) might appear by the end.
First, godly parents of the Animorphs cast below the cut:
Jake is your standard protagonist, kind of. So it'll be very easy to slate him under one of the Big Three - probably Zeus, if so. He does have something for battle tactics and strategy, so Athena might be fitting - but that might be a problem with Marco later on.
Rachel is mostly well known for her ruthlessness and something of a bloodlust. In that, it's very easy to slate her under Ares and end it here. However, due to having watched an OSP video claiming Aphrodite probably originated from a Middle-Eastern fertility and war goddess, and due to Rachel's tendency to also be kind of a more girly girl, I think it'd be interesting to place her under "daughter of Aphrodite that just always hungs around cabin 5. No one dares question her". Now, one might notice that I kind of completely ignored Jake and Rachel's families - kind of noticeable, considering they're the only Animorphs with living siblings, and the fact said siblings do affect their characters in some ways. So a second reminder: this isn't serious, as of yet. If I ever reach the section of "world of x but implement elements of y" it's going to become an actual problem. A good alternative would be their siblings being mortal, though.
Cassie, now, is a bit of a problem. Possibly because I go too much with surface characterization. Cassie is the animal lover, "tree hugger" as Marco calls her, with the two veterinarian parents. This is, the only greek godess associated with the safety of wild animals I can currently remember is Artemis. The goddess with explicitly no children of her own. Of course, Cassie could be a follower of Artemis, but I don't really think it's a good idea. Beyond the standard point of the virginity oath clashing with her relationship with Jake - which I could ignore like I did with Tom, Jordan and Sarah - I don't actually think it fits her that well. She could be the daughter of Demeter, as this is another nature associated goddess, but Demeter is more concerned with plants, and cultivated ones at that. So I don't really think it's a good idea. A good alternative would be being a Satyr, as they love nature and are not restricted to plants. However... all satyrs are men. That's a hard and fast rule. You'll notice that there's never a mention of a female Satyr - when Coach Hedge talks about his mother, it's clear she's a cloud nymph. No other female relative of a Satyr is ever mentioned. At all. Neither are there female Centaurs, for that matter - and I believe ToA was the first to introduce a male driad, making most nymphs female. Same with Harpies, inasmuch as we've seen them as a species. I could probably research and find out the mythical reason for that. Or I could do the same as everyone inventing a demititan or halfblood children of Echidna/Nix/other beings that only had either divine or monsterous children and make up a female descendant of Pan. Is she a Satyr? shrugs. She's a Thing. That exists. For some unfathomable reason. In theory I could've made her a Poseidon legacy like Frank, but I don't think it's a good idea with how it breaks Morphing. I mean, if Frank's barrier initially was lack of familiarity with the animals he thought of, Cassie... well, Cassie will hack this ability and will be way better than Frank with it, very quickly. Sure, she might be unable to do dragons at first, but any animal that was treated in the Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic is an immediate go at the very least. On that note, the interaction between godly powers and the morphing technology needs to be considered... but that's a topic for the end.
Marco always get presumed comic relief. In which case, if we were to go with that shallow a description, he will be the perfect Hermes kid. Sure, being funny isn't their primary function, but it befits a trickster god. Only Marco isn't the crafty guy: he's more of the bright clear line, planning type of guy. So maybe he is Hermes, but I think Athena should also be taken under consideration. Hermes is a catchall for a lot, though, so he might still fit.
I... don't really know about Tobias. Half of his struggle through the books is him not being human anymore. He's always an outcast, bullied unwanted. Plus, he already has a secret father he didn't expect: Elfangor. Which doesn't really cover the definitions, but still probably worth remembering. I thought of putting him down as Apollo - he who shoots far must see far as well. In addition to the god of prophecy angle that may sort of fit if you look at it diagonally? I don't really have much.
Ax is a whole different beast. Literally so, considering he's an alien. Depending on how I do this I could try and fit him with an Olympian - say, Dionysus (very weird idea). So... Umm... Let him just be himself? Maybe the child of some Andalite deity, maybe just a regular ol' Andalite. I'm not going to make him a centaur, though, as that would end up being rather boring and would take away from his character. How do aliens fit within the PJO continuity? That's for that section about the crossover that I'm totally going to write!
So. Um. I have done Olympian parent for each of the Animorphs. I suppose it means it's time for the other side: battle morphs for the cast of Percy Jackson. I'm going to go with the seven for it - not exactly balanced, but I don't really have a good idea for a seventh Animorph at the moment. I would also note: Grover in that scenario is not getting the morphing power. Because I don't want to start going at it with him. He's the most likely to be the team's Cassie (outside of the slightly pacifist tendencies, I suppose) - actually, note for the legendary section-that's-totally-going-to-be-there, if Cassie and Grover meet one of their immediate points is Grover asking animals for permission to acquire them. Because he can do that. Coach Hedge probably can as well, but he's not really the type. Anyway, the seven's battle morphs:
We'll start with Percy. The obvious possibility is to make his battle morph a horse. A shark could also be possible but has some severe limitations, so that's a no-go. Horse is also kind of problematic, because... well, I'm not sure how good it'll be in battle? I just... I don't know. I mean, a horse can definitely kick people, and it can work. Maybe one of Diomedes' carnivorous mares? He never got to touch them, but maybe he could find a way. Plus, using mythical creatures is a great idea! I'd have suggested a pegasus, perhaps, though that one isn't exactly as useful.
If we went with the horse for Percy, an owl would be the obvious one for Annabeth... only it's not really a battle morph. I mean, sure, Tobias fights as a hawk, and an owl would be even more useful than the hawk in the dark, but... with Tobias it's due to the circumstances, and I don't think it's ideal. Works for espionage, but not as the primary attack morph. So instead, I'm going to be boring and call back to a canonical moment: when immune from Circe's magic, Annabeth suggest she turn her into a Jaguar. It was a throwaway line, more or less, and doesn't necessarily holds much interest. But I do think it fits: a very dangrous animal that can lie in wait to strike, and is very dangerous from up close. The last point might be true about many predators - I suppose it might fit Jaguars less than I think, I don't really know enough to tell.
Next is Jason. Which I have no doubt everyone will tell me is a wolf person. He was raised by wolves, after all. Maybe his flying morph will be a golden eagle or something because of his father, but sacred animals can only take you so far. I'm afraid I don't have a better idea than a wolf right now.
Leo is going ape because he would like to keep his opposable thumbs. He's not a one-to-one Marco equivalent, but there are some superficial similarities. So maybe he also goes for a gorrila. A smaller primate might not have enough firepower (heh). I don't really know. A chimpanzee, maybe? Is it apparent that I have no understanding whatsoever in animals? (The Animorphs did acquire chimps at one point. And horses. And I do think Jake acquired a Jaguar during that one Sario Rip effect story? And obviously, wolf is Cassie's battle morph. And yet, I don't really know enough about either to know if it's suitable. I'm currently ignoring that under the flimsy excuse that this is a shitpost.)
Next is Piper. And considering I was pulling all of those from the depths of Tartarus without any aid from the Muses so far, I think I've run dry. Because I'm not sure what would be a suitable morph for her. Maybe I should stick with a mythical creature for her - I'd say Empusa (because charmspeak), but those are kind of too humanlike. Ditto for the Gegeines, who seem to be the Giants' foot soldiers in the same way Scythian Dracaena were for the Titans' - and the latter... Well, would likely never agree to be acquired, but can work. Especially since my next idea for Piper was a snake, because of the Song of Snakes thing. She probably has a dove morph that she never actually acquired - courtesy of her mother. Might be occasionally useful, usually it's just left unused. So, in conclusion - probably snake, be they mundane or mythical.
Frank is the one I could just skip. He doesn't need the morphing technology, and already kind of has a battle morph: an elephant. Can draw parallels between him and Rachel, I don't know, I'm really just speaking rubbish here.
Hazel is going to be the death of me. Do you get it? Because she's the daughter of Pluto? And he's the god of death? nervous laughter followed by dead silence Oh, yeah. I'm doomed. It's important to note, though, that the limits of the battle morphs are actually ones of plausible acquiring and battle capabilities. Which should probably make this task slightly more achievable. Hazel is our horsegirl. Which would've been great if we didn't have Percy already on horse duty. Plus, she likes riding on them. She's the cavalry, by definition. A unicorn could be great, though. Didn't she handle them through controlling the jewelry in their horns once? I don't remember if it was indicated that she gotten along with them or not. Anyway, at this point I'm tired and willing to accept this. Hazel morphs a unicorn.
So, now that I'm done with that part, it's time for crossover thoughts! This is bound to be fun!
Maybe I'll stop here for now, though, and keep the rest for a reblog. It's all bad enough as it is.

THE LEGACY OF LA BÊTE

Written for @teenwolf-meta Meta May Monday's May 19th topic: Beast.
As Coach might, say let's do a pop quiz! What's the connection between the scene pictured above the scene pictured directly below?

The simple answer is that the people involved are all part of the Argent family, but there is more to it than that. The sacredness of family ties is important to Chris Argent, and that can be traced all the way back to 18th century France. Let's look at Chris Argent's speech to Derek Hale in that scene in Pack Mentality (1x03).
Chris: Nice ride. Black cars, though. Very hard to keep clean. I would definitely suggest a little more maintenance. If you have something this nice, you want to take care of it, right? Personally, I'm very protective of the things I love. But that's something I learned from my family. And you don't have much of that these days. Do you? There we go. You can actually look through your windshield now. See how that makes everything so much clearer?
It would be easy to think of this scene as Chris Argent displaying another example of his weird intimidation techniques, threatening Derek to keep him in line. In fact, that's what we are meant to believe when we first watch it. As threats go, however, it seems to be based on cruelty and doesn't pain Chris in a very flattering light.
However, as the show progresses, we see more and more how important family is to Chris until we get to the story in The Maid of Gévaudan (5x18). We watch La Bête's rampage found the Argent clan of hunters. They took the mantle upon themselves not only because Sebastian Valet was a serial-killing demonic werewolf, but also because he was family. Sebastian would have been a monster wherever he went, but he purposefully came back to Gévaudan, to the community where he and his sister lived. He wasn't going to stop killing, so this betrayed his family's history there, destroyed the roots that the Valets had. He went so far as when Marie-Jeanne vowed to stop him, he stated his intention to kill her as well.
Thus we learn the reason that Marie-Jeanne established a code in which if a hunter is bitten that they have to take their own life. Lycanthropy, embodied by the Beast, corrupts and destroys that sacred bonds that we see were extremely important to Marie-Jeanne and to her descendants.
Sebastian: You won't catch me. And you won't kill me. We're family, Marie-Jeanne. We're family.
Chris, for his part, will turn on his father and start working with werewolves when he realizes that family, in the end, means nothing but a source of power for Gerard, to be tossed away or replaced if it is not serving its purpose. After Chris realizes that Victoria, Allison, and Kate are all, in their own ways, victims of Gerard's actions, he discards the idea that lycanthropy is a requirement for betrayal. This revelation, at first, makes him try to protect his family by giving up hunting in Frayed (3x05):
Chris: There's a saying for these kinds of situations, the kind you have to navigate carefully. It's called, "threading the needle." It's finding a safe path between two opposing forces. Allison: Sounds like saving your own ass. Chris: They're not your family.
But Chris, as much as he wants to protect what is important to him, never forgot why the Code exists in the first place. He can't help but follow it, even after it push him to help his beloved wife commit suicide. He learn slowly that there's nothing wrong with valuing family, even to the point of trying to get Kate and Gerard to renounce their behavior simply because they should be horrified that it requires a betrayal of their family. He even goes so far as to take the blame for his own betrayals, such as when he suggestion he didn't "take care" enough to stop Kate in becoming what she did.
So what's the ultimate connection between these scenes? At this point in Pack Mentality , Chris must think that Derek is the one who killed his sister, Laura. I'm sure if Chris had proof, that conversation would have taken a more violent turn, but when the confrontation begins, Chris has no reason to believe that Derek isn't the only werewolf in town. After all, Chris or Victoria never mention Peter in the hospital, and Kate doesn't check the place out. (It seems Laura made sure he was safe from them in the facility.) It's not until the next episode when Kate reveals to the family that there's more than one werewolf.
When the hunters box in Derek's car in that episode, what is happening is that an Argent hunter looks at a werewolf and sees not a victim, but a monster whom the hunter believes has betrayed their own family as well as the community in which they lived. An Argent hunter who is very protective of the things they love. On the surface, Chris is warning a werewolf to tow the line, but on another, more emotional level, Chris is remembering the story of how his family came to hunt werewolves. He looks at Derek then and he sees "nothing but a Beast."

okay so while i work on chapter 2 (I'm so sorry its late I'm a highschool senior with 4 ap classes, 2 gifted classes, and insomnia. I'm trying my best i swear) I'm going to give out some content and stuff like things to expect in the fic
this is friendships/relationships that will kage will experience with small explanations :D (these are out of order)
lev & kage - ok so I plan on having miwa and alisa get together so i find it funny if they were awkward but lev immediately attaches to kage and they're like brothers
akaashi & kage & kenma - ok so they're all introverted and i know kenma and akaashi are cool but like i can see akaashi realize kage is mean or angry just really awkward and weird at times so he recommends him to join his and kenma's game nights and one Minecraft world later they're all attached at the hip
atsumu & osamu & kage - originally i think atsu and kage have a rivalry and mutual respect for each other until atsu realizes samu and kage are good friends (bc kage is always eating samu's curry rice balls, he has become samu unofficial food tester lol) and atsu is obvi trying to be the better twin so they end up getting closer at setters like a more equal standing unlike oikawa & kage or suag & kage who were mentors (in a way looking at you sideways oikawa bc your teaching methods were ... interesting [don't misintterupt this i love oikawa])
ushijima & kage - ok so they're both autistic, you'd have to rip that headcannon out my dead cold hands, and i can see ushijima watching kage and realizing 'oh he is like me' and they just connect like bluetooth
kyotani & kage - i actually love them bc they're both similar to me (i also find oikawa and kyotani's relationship interesting as he is in personality and raw talent and skill similar to kage and ik oikawa felt threatened cb kage was a setter but him moving along with you after the kitagawa incident is very interesting tbh) anyways i imagine they'd accidently connect like at the same gym and bond by shitting on oikawa (i imagine he'd want to hit some of kage's kingly tosses too)
yachi & kage - wlw & mlm solidarity, i love them sm, yachi realizing after seeing kage awkwardly attempt to pet a cat that he is really cute but in a sibling or little kid way so she can no longer find him scary but gets protective and explains social situations for him when he doesn't understand
coach ukai & kage - i imagine while coach takeda was hinata's coach, coach ukai was kage's bc he was blunt in a way kage understood and no extra words for needed, plus i like to think they were both very honest which each other so if ukai said kage was messing up he'd be upset but believe him and take a break
kage & tsuki - so i stand by the fact kage is smart but in odd strangely specific ways like physics but not general science and math and tsuki finds out and loses his shit bc kage is lowkey better than him but doesn't do anything with this, this kinda begins their actual friendship tho bc kage gets to talk about physics (esp astrophysic his favorite bc his dad's job [a personal headcannon])
kogane & kage - kogane worshipping the ground kage walks on bc he is such a good setter and kage trying to help teach kogane but he isn't good with words but despite this kogane understands him somehow!?
kuroo & kage - i think kuroo would recognize kage as someone similar to kenma but not only that but as hinata's best friend and as kenma's best friend who is friends with hinata he'd do some mental math to become kage's friend. plus i think he'd (like tsuki) recognize kage is dumb, but smart in different ways and try to draw it out of him (he also finds it funny to adopt/befriend all the karasuno first years [he has plans for yachi & yama])
tendou & kage - took one look and thought him and ushijima are of the same breed so he could befriend him (probably) but other than that i think tendou being seen as scary or freakish, even being referred to as a monster could relate to kage and his king od the court incident so maybe they'd bond through that
ok that is all i can think of rn and if a friendship isn't on here it's because it probably something I'm already going to do. this list was mostly headcannon or me taking a small relationship, blowing it up, then putting it under a microscope for personal enjoyment
(here is some food: @youwerethedefeated @infinitemilk @ushouldwatchhaikyuu @kagehiner @cosmorom @greynoceur @pixiesnooze @kagehiner )
